HOW DO ESSENTIAL OILS NATURALLY KILL BACTERIA?

Bacterial infections are spread from airborne bacteria and by touching
surfaces infected with organisms. The air we breathe may be
contaminated from someone else's sneeze or cough or breath. Touching a door nob or telephone, for example, may spread these bacteria.  The list is endless!

We come into contact with these organisms daily and bring them home.  Unless the immune system can overpower the invasion, invaders continue to multiply until become a full-blown infection. We have all battled viruses and infections at home; missing school & work for flu, stomach viruses, strep . . .

There is no better way to prevent and protect from bacterial
invasion then through the use of essential oils. This is one reason why essential oils have been used throughout history...They are nature's health program.

Oil use is done via diffusion and direct application. When essential oil is diffused into the air, the air becomes purified, cleansed of harmful bacteria, viruses fungus and even mold.  The effectiveness of this procedure is 100% and is like one of those used in
studies by Weber State University on oils like those used in Josiah's Sanitizer, well known as the legendary 4 Thieves Blend.  Josiah's Sanitizer comes in a fine mist spray which can be used as a room diffuser at home, office, car ...  literally cleaning the air and healing the lungs!

This is because essential oils kill/destroy infectious bacteria within seconds of contact. In addition, the oils are breathed into the body, where they trigger OUR OWN immune-boosting, healing and relaxation responses.

They also go into the lungs breaking congestion and healing.  This combination is the best insurance one can have against infectious disease.

Lemon Essential Oil

The health benefits of lemon oil can be attributed to its stimulating, calming, carminative, anti-infection, astringent, detoxifying, antiseptic, disinfectant, and antifungal properties. Lemon (Citrus limon) has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds that have been studied for their effects on immune function.  A drop of lemon oil in your water or tea throughout the day goes a long way in keeping you healthy - naturally detoxifying the liver and killing invading viruses!  Start with Josiah's Oils 15 ml Pure Lemon Essential Oil.

Down Syndrome Pregnancy

Babies who have DS are blessings like all other babies (maybe a little MORE of a blessing at that!!). Don't let  anyone tell you otherwise! We live in a society that worships looks, money, intelligence and so-called perfection. Have you ever noticed however that NONE of that is ever achieved to satisfaction? I can't speak for all people with DS, but I can tell you my son
will not make the highest salary –who cares? - he is now and will forever be happy. His unconditional love for
others is a reflection of God’s love in this world.  He makes a lasting difference in this world with each and every smile to a
stranger.

If you are pregnant with a special baby with Down syndrome, or know someone who is, there
is a lot of support out there! A wonderful site to start with is http://downsyndromepregnancy.org/where you will find a free downloadable book and much more information! There is also a friends and family booklet, which I found
SO helpful when my son was born.  Just to let people know it is OK to say congratulations.

Blessings!

3 EASY Things You Can Do Today to Make Your Home Safer

1/5/2012

1.  Toss the TEFLON pans!  Teflon causes liver cancer in lab rats, and it is estimated that traces of PFOA [Teflon] can be found in a 95%  percent of Americans' blood! (Read more: Toxic Chemicals in the Home - How to Protect Yourself Against
Hidden Toxins - Redbook
)  I use cast iron pans, which actually infuse some iron into the food as you cook!  Simply heat the cast iron pan and oil well before use and you will avoid sticking without needing Toxic-Teflon.  Clean cast iron with white vinegar!

2.  Toss the bleach!   Bleach is a strong corrosive. It will irritate or burn the skin, eyes and respiratory  tract. It may cause pulmonary edema or vomiting and coma if ingested.  Why have it in your home???  Also, consider the environment - bleach and other chemicals are flushed or drained right into the water supply!  Our Four Thieves Cleaner disinfects and is safe for the environment.  Even if you don't use Four Thieves, there are LOTS of safe bleach alternatives on the market!!  Using safe cleaners not only makes your home healthier, it also lets your children take part in cleaning without fears.  Teach them to work with you at a young age; you'll be happy you did it!

3.  Open some windows everyday!  I know it can be tough this time of year, but I manage to do it!  (Even today)  Getting some fresh airflow decreases any toxins or mildew that may be in your home - chemicals hide in furniture, carpets, toys . . . No matter how safe we try to be, chemcials are an unfortunate fact of life in our generation.

Let's make our own little space in the world as healthy as possible and teach the next generation to care enough to be green.
