Founded in 2011, we are a family-run business and proud to offer pure essential oils and bath, body & home products hand-crafted in Lancaster, PA. As a family, we at Josiah's Oils are on a mission to find the safest ingredients on earth - Protecting both the planet and the children. Josiah's Oils is named after one of our sons who has been blessed with an extra chromosome (Down syndrome). When Josiah was born, he experienced many health issues. As a representative of a large MLM company at the time, Ninette grew frustrated with the prices and sales tactics she experienced and decided to source and grow herbs for her own products. Josiah's Oils was born! Not only are our ingredients the purest available, but we also infuse Josiah's Essential Oils into your daily products -Deodorants, Shampoos, Conditioners, Soaps & much more. PURITY At Josiah's Oils, we offer over 125 essential oils and blends and have been in the essential oils business for over 10 years. Our essential oils are obtained direct-from-farm, so they are fresh to you with no adulteration. Our owner, a Clinical Aromatherapist, has over 18 years of experience practicing aromatherapy. After honoring God, the purity of our essential oils is the most important factor in what we do. Ensuring that proper methods of growing, harvesting, and distilling take place is crucial to maintaining purity. Our oils are freshly bottled, and cold-stored from farm distillation right here in Lancaster, PA. We have been working with farms and serving you with the freshest oils since 2011. A Little More: Unlike most oils on the market, we do not accept poor production practices or the addition of any synthetic ingredients in Josiah's Essential Oils. Appropriate analysis of the constituents that are contained in an essential oil is one of the ways we ensure the purity of your oil. Our essential oils come to us after distillation or expression. All of Josiah's Oils are hand blended by a professional clinical aromatherapist and tested for purity. All of Josiah's Oils are 100% PURE, FREE from any chemicals, additives, or pesticides. Our oils come from farms all over the globe. Where the oil is sourced is essential to the highest therapeutic value of the oil. The composition of the plant will vary greatly based on the location, climate, and environment. It is also essential that the correct part of the plant is harvested for distillation or expression. The plant must also be harvested during the correct time of year and not be distilled more than necessary for the highest quality oil. At Josiah's oils we offer you essential oils from the best country/season of farming, best (responsible) harvesting practices, and distilling for each essential oil. Josiah's Wintergreen, for example, is farmed in Napal; Josiah's Fir is grown in Siberia; Lavender is grown in the high attitudes of France or Bulgaria. Tea Tree is grown in Australia - unlike cheap Chinese grown Tea Tree Oils. Another example is that we do not compromise true cinnamon for cheap Chinese Cassia like many companies do. Indeed, we remain committed to the richest soil composition possible so that your oil is the best quality available. In addition, we do not add bases, fillers, additives, etc to any of our oils. We review GC/MS reports to ensure the the oils contain the proper constituent composition. We are operated by a Clinical Aromatherapist to oversee the integrity of the oils and blends we offer. Finally, but of great importance, when we receive the essential oils from our distillers and farms we immediately bottle and store oils in smaller amber or cobalt blue glass bottles and immediately place them cold storage. Your essential oil or blend is bottled the SAME WEEK you purchase it! This is all done right in our shop in Lancaster, PA and is done within a very short period of time following harvesting. Cold storage of the fresh product protects the oils and extends their shelf-life and ensures they are fresh when they come home to you. Indeed, most oils on the market are left sitting in larger warehouses where proper temperature control is not maintained and therefore come to you old and of lessened therapeutic benefit. Josiah's oils on the other hand are stored at 52 degrees or less from the moment they are received. This speaks volumes with regard to freshness. Our Clinical Aromatherapist Your essential oils are sourced and blended by Internationally Certified Clinical Aromatherapist: Ninette Jackson. Ninette has been working with essential oils for over 18 years and has undergone over 860 hours of study & testing to obtain her certifications. Her Aromatherapy shop, which she runs with her husband and great supporting staff including 3 full-time certified aromatherapists, Josiah's Oils, has been in business since 2011 serving her customers with the highest quality essential oils and therapeutic blends, as well as diffusers, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, salves and more - all hand-made with Ninette's own recipes. Ninette has experience teaching about essential oils uses and purity at local libraries (including New Holland & Ephrata), chiropractors' offices, parenting groups, nursing homes, Lancaster General Hospital, PA Herb & Garden Expo, Lancaster General Rehabilitation Hospital, Schreiber Pediatrics, and alternative health groups.
