This will be a short blog post today! I want to remind or inform you all that ALL essential oils should be diluted for topical applications. Yes, even frankincense. Yes, even lavender. Why? Well for two main reasons: 1. Dilution lessons the risk of skin irritation and injury both immediately and over time (see picture); 2. Essential oils are volatile so they dissipate quickly. Instead of scenting the air, carriers help hold the oils so they can stay on or travel into the skin to give you maximum therapeutic benefit. Finally, fresher oils are less irritating. So be mindful of the age of you oils. For specific dilution ratios, we are here to help. All of your customers at Josiah's Oils have access to 2 Certified Aromatherapists to provide you with an exact dilution recipe for your oil. Good carrier oils include: Jojoba, Grapeseed, Almond, Argan, Fractionated Coconut, Pumpkin.
