Turmeric, Black Pepper and Jojoba Roll-On
Hand Blended in our Lancaster shop in perfect ratio based on research by our Clinical Aromatherapist, this blend includes:
Studies have shown that turmerone, a major compound of turmeric oil which gives it its pungent smell, has antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cellular mutative properties.
Curcumin, also contained in turmeric, is a natural antioxidant that has anti-inflammatory benefits, as well as [possible] benefits related to slowing the aging process
Studies have shown turmeric’s ability to help reduce pain, inflammation and stiffness related to arthritis pain. Studies have also shown promise with turmeric in the areas of liver disease and colon cancer.
Unfortunately, turmeric (and curcumin on its own) doesn’t absorb well into the bloodstream; therefore we recommend combining it with black pepper. There is a compound in black pepper called piperine that actually helps to make turmeric more bioavailable (amount of a substance that’s absorbed or able to be used by the body)
Because of its warming, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties, black pepper oil helps to reduce muscle injuries, tendonitis, and symptoms of arthritis and rheumatism.
Black pepper oil may help ease the discomfort of constipation, diarrhea and gas. Studies show that it exhibits antidiarrheal, gastro-protective, antidiarrheal and antispasmodic activities. Black pepper does this by stimulating the stomach to support better digestion. Studies further support Black Pepper's antiviral capabilities (Staph) and stimulates circulation. According to a 2010 study conducted at Michigan State University, black pepper oil may exhibit anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, & anti-cancer capabilities. Black pepper may also detoxify the body and reduce blood sugar levels.
Jojoba - Reduces inflammation and has anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory capabilities.
