It also has antiseptic and analgesic properties which will ease the pain of a burn and prevent infection. Lavender has also shown significant antibacterial and antiviral properties,

Applying lavender oil to the collar of clothing or using lavender oil for aromatherapy massage does not seem to improve mental function in people with dementia.
