Wild Grown - It is very high in sesquiterpenes, is a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, disinfectant, and diuretic. For your blends, Copaiba works as a fixative, which means it helps keep all of the various scents together as a whole and strengthens them.
Copaiba is also excellent to combat congestion. Copaiba has been documented to contain 50 percent beta-caryophyllene which studied for its ability to modulatethe body's response to external irritants such as pollution and things that cause inflammation in the body. Copaiba's strong anti-inflammatory abilities make it excellent for combating pain on site, combine with Peppermint Oil for the most pain relief.
In a placebo-controlled study, 10 volunteers applied a copaiba 1% gel (1% essential oil, 99% carrier oil) twice a day for 21 days. There was a significant reduction in acne where the copaiba was applied. (Buckle, 272)
