Uses: Sweet Birch Oil is known for it ability to soothe pain (use diluted with a carrier oil) associated with arthritis, rheumatism, inflammation, muscular pain, tendinitis, hypertension, joints, muscles and cramps.*
The main chemical component of Birch is methyl salicylate, which is similar to the salicylic acid used in aspirin.
Contains an active principle similar to cortisone and is beneficial for bone, muscle, and joint discomfort.
Aroma: Birch Sweet has a sweet, sharp, scent that is very fresh (smells like root beer), and is a strong top note.
Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided with ALL oils.
