Germ Fighting Blend ("Thieves Blend")
Our concentrated, pure blend of organic essential oils include:
- Sweet Orange - Citrus sinensis,
- Lemon - Citrus limon,
- REAL Cinnamon -Cinnamomum zeylanicum,
- Clove - Syzygium aromaticum,
- Rosemary* - Rosmarinus officials
- (OPTIONAL) Eucalyptus Globulus (see options below)
These oils are studied to boost the immune system, fight airborne and surface pathogens, increase focus and more. All of Josiah's Oils are hand blended by a professional Clinical Aromatherapist in our Lancaster, PA shop, and tested for purity. All of Josiah's Oils are 100% PURE, FREE from any chemicals, additives, or pesticides.

Why these oils? Some study links included below.
Legend has it that during the Black Plague a band of thieves used a blend of herbs as they robbed and plundered the homes of the dying and dead. The unique antimicrobial properties of the herbs protected the thieves from the plague.
Over the years blends of essential oils have been formulated based on this legend. The exact herbs however are not that clear. What is clear from studies are that certain essential oils do have strong antimicrobial capabilities & we have blended them for you!
Cinnamon (NOT Cassia)

Clove
The applicable parts of clove are the oils, flowers, leaves, and stems. Clove oil contains up to 95% eugenol. Clove oil inhibits gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It also has fungistatic action, and anthelmintic and larvicidal properties. It is known to be anti-viral!
Rosemary
Rosemary is known to have antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties.
Lemon
Cold pressed lemon essential oil is antiseptic, antibacterial, and anti-viral.
Sweet Orange
In aromatherapy, sweet orange essential oil is generally used as an anti-viral oil to facilitate in avoiding the spread of viruses! It is high in D-limonene and has been studied to combat depression.
Eucalyptus
