Origin: Spain
Oregano is a perennial herb indigenous to Europe, Asia, and particularly the Mediterranean. It is a member of the mint family and is closely related to marjoram. The primary active medical ingredient in oregano is carvacrol, which has its highest concentration in the oil from oregano plants of the Mediterranean.
Used topically (highly diluted), Use on broken skin should be avoided, as the oil may cause irritation.
USE WITH CAUTION as Oregano is potent!!! Dilution is key (for feet .5% dilution ratio. Diffuse for short periods well diluted in a vapor mist (max. 10 minutes 2 times daily) Always check for allergies and sensitivities. (not meant to replace any medical advice) Do not use oregano essential oil while pregnant.
