Cannabidiol or CBD is one of many promising phytocannabinoids found in organic hemp. It has been recognized for its benefits on human and animal health and is capable of affecting nearly every biological process. Importantly, our CBD is non-psychoactive, non-addictive, and non-toxic.
CAN OUR PRODUCTS GET YOU "HIGH"?
No! The products we make are derived from ORGANIC Industrial Hemp. Cannabidiol is non-psychoactive. There is not enough THC in our products to induce a high, also all retail products must be below the federal guidelines for THC (which is less than 0.3%).
Josiah's Oils CBD ISOLATE products are certified 100% THC-FREE.
IS IT SAFE?
YES! Unlike other CBD products, ALL aspects of production of our CBD, from the farms to our finished goods are controlled. We place great emphasis on Quality Control; paying particular attention to ensuring that all of our products are free of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, heavy metals, or any other contaminates. All Organic Hemp we use is manufactured in a FDA registered food safety certified facility, operating under cGMP (current good manufacturing practices).
ARE THE PRODUCTS ADDICTIVE?
NO! These products are considered a food-grade substance or supplement. These products are made from Industrial Hemp not marijuana. They are non- toxic, non-psychoactive, and non addictive.
Types:
FULL SPECTRUM
Full Spectrum contains the full range of naturally occurring compounds, trace amounts of THC, and other cannabinoids naturally found in the hemp plant. It is important to note that the federal limit of THC in a full spectrum product cannot exceed more than 0.3%; this is important. It is one of the least processed types of CBD oil.
BROAD SPECTRUM
Perhaps the most commonly found spectrum, it has a wealth of phytochemicals with NO THC. It still gives you the entourage effect without any THC as it still contains flavonoids and terpenes.
ISOLATE
While this is not a spectrum, it is worth noting that it is one of the most processed forms of CBD and contains 99% CBD making it the strongest. It comes in a white powder substance and offers no other cannabinoids, terpenes, THC, or flavonoids, just pure CONCENTRATED CBD, which we use to make your droppers, pills and gummies.
NANO Particle CBD
By reducing the size of the particles, we increase the total surface area of CBD in contact with tissue, helping to speed absorption. These nano CBD particles can enter into different types of tissues that normal particle sizes are not able to pass through. With a nano beverage, the CBD starts absorbing as soon as it touches your lips and works faster than traditional products. Due to these advantages, nano encapsulated substances are considered up to 6 times more powerful. So, you may not need as much of a dose as you would with our traditional products.
CBG CBG stands for cannabigerol — a RARER cannabinoid found in hemp LEAVES AT ONLY .2%. Research has shown that CBG is not psychoactive (meaning it won’t get you "high"). In the past, research on CBG has been relatively neglected. Thankfully, that is changing! Recent studies show, "Based on established pharmacological properties, there is growing evidence that CBG has therapeutic potential for treating neurological disease, gastrointestinal disease as well as some metabolic disorders."
What is CBD? Cannabis sativais an aromatic annual flowering plant with several botanical varieties, used for different purposes, like the production of fibers, the production of oil from the seeds, and especially for ... medical purposes. Phytocannabinoids (terpenophenolic compounds derived from the plant), include the well-known psychoactive cannabinoid Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, and many non-psychoactive cannabinoids, like cannabidiol ("CBD"). CBD is one of the key constituents of cannabis, and does not have the potentially intoxicating effects of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The endocannabinoid system (ECS) comprises endocannabinoid ligands, enzymes for synthesis and degradation of such ligands, and receptors. This system is widely distributed in the human body for example in the gastrointestinal tract, where phytocannabinoids exert potent effects, particularly under pathological (i.e., inflammatory) conditions. The ECS is a newly-discovered network within the human body which functions to maintain the body’s systems in homeostasis, or a state of balance. In discovering the ECS, researchers also discovered that the human body produces its own cannabinoids known as “endocannabinoids.” The ECS is runs throughout the human body, including the nervous system, digestive system, and immune system to help regulate:
Mood
Sleep
Appetite
Digestion
Pain
Memory
Immune function
Scientists also realized that endocannabinoid deficiencies can wreak havoc on your overall wellness, but may be corrected with the help of pure, high quality cannabinoids from the hemp plant – such as CBG and CBD - curbing many forms of endocannabinoid deficiencies. This Cannabis plant contains over 500 chemical compounds, and more than 120 of them are terpenophenolics, also named phytocannabinoids. The most studied are the psychoactive cannabinoid Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and the non-psychoactivecannabinoids: cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBC) and cannabidivarin (CBDV) (See image below)
In the last forty years, phytocannabinoids have attracted considerable attention for their biological activity beneficial to human health. Studies have shown that CBD is extremely well tolerated, making it safe to trial for chronic pain, mental health, neurological and cancer symptoms. The ECS has two primary endocannabinoidreceptors: CB1receptorsandCB2 receptors. As noted receptors are also located throughout the gastrointestinal tract. CB1 are mostly found in the central nervous system, while CB2 are located in the peripheral nervous system, especially in theimmune system. According to a 2010 study published in theBritish Journal of Pharmacology, the introduction of externalcannabinoids, such asCBDand other syntheticcannabinoids, to the ECSmayaffect the health of patients suffering from the following conditions:
Pain
Epilepsy
Multiple sclerosis(MS)
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
Parkinson’s
Inflammation
Dyskinesia
Psoriasis
Broken bones
Mad cow disease
Depression
Bacterial infections
Diabetes
Rheumatoid arthritis
Nausea
Anxiety
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Schizophrenia
Substance abuse/Withdrawal
Heart disease
Irritable bowel syndrome
Recent studies support promise for CBD/CBG in neurological conditions, irritable bowel syndrome and Covid 19 inflammatory issues
